The opportunities playing from US soil come down to 3 large networks that offer their services next to some smaller ones as well. The critical mass of US-players will be interested only in these 3 large sites, so in this research I will focus only on these three. I have posted a review on Intertops on the Facebook site already, and if you are interested in other smaller US-friendly networks, make sure to contact me.
The 3 large networks are the Winning Poker Network, the Chico Poker Network and the PaiWangLuo Network. In terms of traffic they are listed 7th, 14th and 6th respectively at Pokerscout. The crazy thing is that these three networks are all unique in some way.
For example, the Chico Poker Network offers the largest welcome bonus in the industry, 100% up to $2500 that expires in 60 days. It clears at a sweet rate of 33% which is a nice way of ‘rakeback’ to be earned. When the bonus expires though, there is no rakeback offered unfortunately. The PaiWangLuo Network (PWL), with Ignition and Bovada as US-friendly service providers, offer a 100% up to $1000 first-deposit bonus at Ignition and a 100% up to $500 bonus at Bovada that both expire in 30 days. In general, one can conclude that these sites are focusing on recreational players. Both welcome bonuses clear at a very large percentage (even 100%!) at the beginning of their clearing period. This is very beneficial to low and micro stakes players, for whom it won’t be possible to ever clear a welcome bonus completely. Moreover, they don’t offer any rakeback deal at all, which would attract grinders and other more advanced players, so also in that sense they focus on recreational players. Therefore, the average competition level will be lower at these sites, generally speaking. Comparing this with the Winning Poker Network namely, that does offer a flat rakeback deal of 27% for all players (or tiered VIP programs), its known that the level of competition is significantly higher at this network than at both Chico and PWL.
The Winning Poker Network restricts playing from the states: Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey, Delaware, Nevada & Washington State.
Ignition and Bovada on the PaiWangLuo Network restrict the following states: Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey & Nevada, and only Bovada restricts the state New York regarding their current terms and conditions.
The Chico Poker Network there are no specific states restrictions apparent.
The question is how to incorporate the dynamic approach, the approach that I like to be the trademark among poker players. How to benefit in a way that maximizes players’ winrate by getting the full potential out of the opportunities that these poker sites are offering. To talk about the dynamic approach in a general way, I have to make the assumptions that one is able to play at all sites and that he doesn’t have an account at a site yet.
Start to play at Ignition for 30 days until the welcome bonus expires and switch over to Bovada to do the same thing, clearing the bonus as much as you can in another 30 days. Afterwards, switch to BetOnline on the Chico Poker Network to clear the largest welcome bonus in the industry in 60 days. After 60 days, switch sites to Sportsbetting.ag and do the same again for 2 months. After 6 months clearing the first-deposit bonuses maximally, join the Winning Poker Network and receive a flat rakeback percentage, while keeping an eye on other opportunities that might arise. The best way to stay up to date is to join the Facebook Group: Poker Ecosystem – The Dynamic Approach of course!
Note that the Winning Poker Network gives a nice flat rakeback percentage at all times. This can be nice to play there while you are figuring out which sites to join in the meanwhile. If you think you will move up in stakes very quickly it can be more beneficial to keep your bonus codes when you join these higher stakes in order to be able to clear a larger portion of the bonus. On the other hand, since the competition level is the highest at the Winning Poker Network it is probably better to do it in the way visualized because you have a better understanding of all sites and can make a better choice where you want to play.
